Intellectual "Moves" (Based on my experience)

{"ops":[{"insert":"it is safe to say that we are all agree that there are elements that we can analyze and standards that we can all use to monitor, and after that to discipline our thinking from the point of view of elements and standards in order to think well.\n\nI realized that it is hard to do every single things required by this kind of thinking because you may miss something to do and you noticed that because your thinking resulted in something which is unexpected and worse that have some negative impact on you and for others around you. \n\nBut when I focused myself in some part before the other part, I discovered that it is possible to develop as a thinker. For example, in order to think just like an ideal critical thinker, you need to know your inferences you've made to behave in some way and not the other and also, you need to know some kind of information you used to make some conclusions. After that, if you are going to correct your thinking, you need to used some standards relevant to your purpose such as being logical in your inferences. For example, if your purpose is to figure out something, it is reasonable to rely on your thinking , not just thinking but on your capability to do some good thinking. And to do that, you need to make some logical inferences to extract the information from another information from you and also from others to make your inferences more logical, ultimately to know some answer in to your questions. And also, it is also possible to make some faulty inferences based on logical thinking because it may be incorrect and inaccurate if your information are not accurate also. That means, another relevant standards that you should used consistently to be more good in thinking is to make some logical inferences based on accurate information and so on.\n\n\nMay I know what you are also doing to improve as a good thinker? I hope someone give me some attention.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"This is an excellent example of working through the elements and standards using your own thinking, something we want our students to regularly do as well. The more we articulate basic definitions within the elements and standards cluster of concepts, and apply them in context, the deeper they are internalized into our reasoning skill set. I suggest that you study more closely the "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"Thinker's Guide to Analytic Thinking"},{"insert":" (see our library) and the Wheel of Reason (see our academy), as well as the "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"Glossary of Critical Thinking Terms and Concepts "},{"insert":"(in our library) and Criteria Corner (in the Academy).\n\nA good way to internalize these ideas is to target one idea per week.
